To Whoever Is Doing the Google Searches...

...on whether or not I'm Ron Edwards' love-child or secretly "a swine":

a) No.
b) I think the whole "swine" thing is probably the pettiest and most childish phenomenon I've ever witnessed, and there's nothing secret about the fact that I like some story games.

K thx bye.

  1. Swine: Agree. I like some of Ron Edwards work, and I like sme aspects of GNS theory, but to call other gamers swine cause they don't like a particular style of gaming is not just petty and stupid, it leaves me no reason to take anything you say seriously.
Games are supposed to be fun after-all.

Oh yeah and some of the words that people use to get to my site. Man...what?

  2. And just when I thought I would have a day free of "wait, what?" moments.

Then again, except for "hot elf chicks" (which is the third most visited page on my blog...and at least I provided nude ones) I don't get found by interesting searches. So I'm kinda jealous too.

  3. Timothy: Someday I'll write a post about all the weird google searches that bring people here. I'll tell you one thing - "Steampunk porn" is bizarrely popular.

Herb: Yeah, I was like "wait, what?" when I saw the search terms...

  4. I think this went entirely over my head. Is this a joke?

    "Swine" thing?

  5. Ivan: It's not really very interesting, funny, or edifying, so if I were you I'd be glad I didn't get it.

  6. Man, what? Somedays I'm not at all sure people are mature enough to be allowed to have the internet.

  8. Just out of curiosity, has the frequency of "ron edwards swine lovechild" searches gone up since you posted this? I have no idea what any of this is in reference to so I was actually tempted to google the terms just to figure out what the heck it all means.

  9. "Swine" just means Pundit doesn't like you. It's a totally incoherent and asinine concept, and isn't even very funny.

  10. unless they're looking for something specific - swine fever, perhaps? Or they can't remember Lovecraft's name?

  11. The Pundit? Is he still a thing?

    More so than ever.

He has been promoted to being a consultant on 5e.

  13. S'mon: Yeah, I should have known better...!

Timrod: I got one or two more searches for those terms leading here - I assume they were you.

John Bell: He's really just a pathetic Hunter S. Thompson wannabe, which is where I think he gets "swine" from. I don't think he realises quite how ridiculous imitating Hunter S. Thompson while talking about role playing games makes him look.

  14. At least Hunter S. Thompson didn't write Robotech fan fiction like Pundy did.

  15. this thought-crime nonsense is just tedious. it's like people think you are trying to use the Communist Propaganda skill from paranoia
