  1. Hell yes. I've been eagerly awaiting Yoon-Suin 2nd edition, by the way, to run it with Worlds Without Number.

  2. so, no chance of actually getting any involvement from groups whose culture you plundered for the setting, cool, ok I guess

    1. I consulted at every stage with Professor Fululu Xa, Chair of Yoon-Suin Studies at the University of the Yellow City’s School of Cultural Studies. Aside from that, I spoke with a number of slug-man sages and experts, many of whom have been field researchers in Lahag, the Hundred Kingdoms and Druk Yul.

If you are referring to diving beetle men in particular, consultation is a bit trickier. One of Xa’s graduate students was devoured while trying to interview one. But since they are illiterate and lacking in pecuniary resource we ultimately concluded they are unlikely to ever be offended by the book’s contents.

    3. Hats off for you, Noism, sir. Got me some laugh in this dark day of trolling. Much appreciated!

    4. Not "plundered", "looted". Therefore virtuous.

Plunder implies that you committed violence in order to facilitate the theft of property (i.e. robbery in the context of organized violence). Looting implies that you took advantage of chaos to commit the theft. If goblins invade the town and kill a bunch of people, and then take goods from the market square, they have plundered the town. But if goblins are standing around while orcs invade, and then steal all the goods from the abandoned market stalls, they have looted it.

Unless Noisms killed somebody to pull this job, it's not plundering. As to looting, well, I think those Slug Men pretty much owe him.

    7. For that post right there, I'll be buying the second edition, seriously. I dearly love the first edition, I was in a car accident in 2015 and it really provided me with an escape. So, I was resistant to any new editions, but how you just handled that sjw, you have my sincere respect and my word that I'll be picking up the new volume. Please keep updating us. Thank you for both the book and the response...both are things of beauty.

    9. Yep, hats off on the reply to the SJW!

So, I'm unfamiliar with the setting, although I've heard a little bit about it. Any details on what the expansion will add, aside from new art?

    10. There's a bit of a difference between myself (Someone who is a Leftist) and Captain Crowbar (A Pseudo-Leftist). Just thought I'd point that out to you lovely folks.

    11. Pugbuddy - it has new monsters, lots of random encounter tables (missing from the 1st edition), new appendices, and probably most importantly 12 adventure sites, 3 for each of the major regions of Yoon-Suin.

    1. It is possibly more imminent than it seems.

  6. The first Yoon-Suin was already quite excellent with its 60s childrens' book aesthetic, but the style here is even more wondrous. Shadow puppets by way of the ZX-Spectrum? Wicked.
