Yoon-Suin 2nd Edition Kickstarter Update

I have received news from the Publisher's Quarter of the Yellow City, the Mapmaker's Guild, the Brave Company of Pixel Artists, and the Free Society of Editors: it appears that a new edition of Yoon-Suin is imminent.

I always said I would never do a "2e" unless there was lots of new material to add, and there is. With proper random encounter tables, many more appendices, and - more importantly - 12 fully keyed adventure sites - the new edition will, it is safe to say, be Yoon-Suin but more so.

It will also be filled with all new, genuinely special, Matt Adams art.

Here is an example of the kind of thing the marvellous madman is producing:

I expect to launch a Kickstarter soon - ideally in November. Watch this space.

    1. I'm not sure how I could do that logistically, really, so, sadly not.

    2. Stupid question, Nicky. As usual.

    3. Not a stupid question - just beyond my organisational talents to figure out a good answer.

  2. I'm VERY interested in the "rest of the world" shipping options for this kickstarter.

    1. This is the hardest element by far of running a kickstarter. No clear idea at this point!

    2. Even if unable to ship overseas, we will find a way!

  3. Will it be able to share what to expect layout wise during the kickstarter? :O

  4. Serious question: will you fix the trade goods rules, which in the original make absolutely no sense?

    1. I had no plans to and definitely won't be doing it now that you've asked.

    2. Your question made me reread the Trade rules. They seem fine to me. What do you find confusing about them?

  5. The first edition has been a most beloved companion through some of the roughest years of my life and I greatly look forward to purchasing the second edition.

  8. Oh man. As is often the case with Kickstarters, the timing is not my ideal, but how can I pass this up? I can't pass this up! Very much looking forward to it - what great news! Love that cover, too!

  9. This looks really cool! Can you say any more about the 12 keyed adventure sites? Are they already made? Are they like single level dungeons or multi-level, or something bigger/smaller/weirder?

    1. Already made, together with maps. The text for everything for the 2nd edition is finished, as is a big chunk of the art.

Regarding the substance of the adventure sites, they are like single level dungeons - varying in size from a single big building to a large plantation.

  14. Has there been any progress on this? I think I set aside some money at the beginning of the COVID lockdown for this kickstarter.
