Yoon-Suin Print Version No Longer Available on Lulu

I am putting this post here in the hope that people looking for the print version of Yoon-Suin will find this entry after searching. Sadly, Yoon-Suin is no longer available from lulu, apparently because they cannot now print landscape books which are longer than 250 pages.

This is annoying, to put it mildly, but it does provide the opportunity to finally put out a revised edition of the book, perhaps with extra material, at some point this year. (And not with lulu, who I won't be using again.) Watch this space for details.

The book is still available on PDF from Payhipdrivethrurpg.com and the Noisms Games website.

  1. Absolutely need this sooner rather than later!

I mean, take all the time you need to do it right, of course, but the appetite to buy a revised, fancy edition of Yoon-Suin runs deep in my veins!

    1. I think just doing a version laid out a bit better and with spelling errors removed would be a bit of a waste. If it does happen I'll try to make it special.

  2. LULU really screwed everything up with this site "upgrade". I still don't have access to all of my PDF purchases. Publishers' products not printing out properly, etc.

    1. Yeah - I find it all really unintuitive and hard to figure out. I'm still not sure if I've actually managed to make the Yoon-Suin product page private.

    2. It's still showing as available in paperback for me.

  4. If you do a revised edition (which you should), more art please!

The writing is fantastic and mood-setting, the art is evocative...there is just not enough of it.

    1. Thanks. That is a very frequent request!

    2. Seconding that request- in particular I'd love to see a fully illustrated monster section.

  5. I'll just take this opportunity to reiterate how much I love Yoon-Suin. Why aren't all setting books this useful? Why does anyone make gazetteer-style books anymore after Yoon-Suin showed us the way? It is, hands-down, my most-referred-to game supplement, even though I've never run a campaign in Yoon-Suin proper.

    1. Well, that is very kind of you to say.

  6. From my own experience sprinkling bits of Yuun-suin into my own campaigns, you clearly need more tea-focused content. ;p

    3. Ancalagon_TB, your blog is one of the sources I've been ransacking for Yoon-Suin tea content.

Actually ran a scenario this evening featuring one of the teas from: https://theyakmencometh.blogspot.com/2019/01/made-some-random-teas.html

The imbiber ended up as a silent ghostly witness to what appears to be an assassination during a street festival.

  7. Bummer.

If you're looking for art or layout help, I'd love to get involved with a special edition of one of my favorite RPG books. I've worked as a professional graphic designer, and you can check out some of my art here:

I love the original character of the book, especially Matthew Adams' illustrations, so I'd want to enhance rather than change it. I apologize for getting in touch via blog comment, but I wasn't sure how else to reach you in this post-G+ world.

  8. This is unfortunate - I really did enjoy the printed version - I ordered the PDF, and almost immediately ordered the physical book.
